Annual Memorial Service

The Fallen Firefighter Memorial Service was started by Congressman Kevin Brady in 2004, and is now sponsored by the Montgomery County Fire Chiefs Association. In 2008 The service was changed to intentionally include our fellow emergency personnel in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS). We are planning one more change in 2009, we will honor all Emergency personnel by including Law Enforcement.

Our 2009 Service will be renamed the "Fallen Emergency Personnel Memorial Service". We will adjust the start time from the sunrise service, to a noon start. We encourage our local community to come and honor those who serve their community and the Nation as Emergency Personnel.

Our Service will continue to be held annualy at the Lone Star Convention Center in Conroe Texas, at the site of the Fallen Firefighters Monument . The Memorial Service is held the 2nd Saturday of March (March 14th 2009). Agencies outside of Montgomery County are welcome and encouraged to participate.
